Hill named Lotto NRFL Manager

Auckland Football Federation is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Hill as Lotto NRFL Manager.

Hill’s appointment is underpinned by strong and established relationships with all the key stakeholders of AFF having served as the federations administration officer and as a referee for a number of years.

AFF CEO, Bob Patterson, confirmed Hill’s position and his appointment as Lotto NRFL Manager will take effect “immediately”.

“Auckland Football is happy with the opportunity to work with Ben in this very important role. Ben brings important experience, personal networks and a good understanding of local football operations that will provide stability, continuity and a pathway of growth for AFF,” Patterson said.

“These qualities are going to be central to ensure AFF’s competitions structure is correctly positioned to deliver an enjoyable end user football experience,” he added.

On his appointment to the role, Hill said: “The Lotto NRFL has existed in some form or another for over 50 years, so to be in the position to drive change and have a hand in positively influencing and structuring the look and purpose of this competition for the future is an exciting prospect”.

“Our vision and purpose is to lead and advance football in Auckland, and shaping an elite senior competition structure that facilitates and encourages development and sustainability in our Clubs as they strive to grow and compete is an important part of what we do as the leaders of football in our region.”

“The upcoming Lotto NRFL Vacancy Playoff between Beachlands Maraetai AFC and Onehunga-Mangere United is the immediate priority, but I am keen to get around the clubs in the coming month or so, help liaise with Council, and support our Clubs in achieving the appropriate Club Licensing requirements.”
