Here are the results from today’s rounds of fixtures across the Lotto NRFL Men’s and Women’s Premier Divisions….

Today’s Lotto NRFL feature match saw Central United welcome Three Kings United to Kiwitea Street in the Lotto NRFL Men’s Premier League.

Early in the match, the visitors took the lead, when Cameron Howieson’s effort was comfortably saved by David Masters, But Darren White’s follow up was something the Central keeper struggled to keep out.

With Three Kings United dominating the majority of the first half, Central bounced back with two second half goals. Armin Pasagic fired home an indirect free-kick, which made Central level in the 66th minute.

With ten minutes left in the match, Thomas Drillien’s bullet of a header put Central in front, which proved to be the winning goal of the match.

Central United man of the match: David Masters

Three Kings United man of the match: Soheb Sheik

Coaches comment:

Aaron McFarland (Central United):

“Delighted with the points we got from the game cause in the context of the game, Three Kings probably dominated large periods of it and certainly in the first half and threatened our goal on a number of occasions. To get the 3 points as a team we are very delighted. To get those points we had to really come back from what was a poor first half performance from our standards but we did lift and we were really pleased with the boys to pull back those two goals and get the three points.”

Paul Bateson (Three Kings United):

“I thought we dominated the first half in all honesty and I think we played really well, I’m really pleased with the performance with only a couple of things to touch on at half time. We knew we would probably want a second goal, but that didn’t happen and we hit the post a couple of times as well as a couple of chances that didn’t go in. So we found ourselves on a 2-1 loss again and still searching for that first win.”
